Ingredients
- 500 mL (2 cups) 2% milk (or less) or soy beverage
- 1 piece 10 cm (1 piece 4 inches) fresh or frozen banana
- 250 mL (1 cup) fresh or frozen whole strawberries, unsweetened (about 14 medium)
- 60 mL (1/4 cup) fresh or frozen blueberries, unsweetened
Preparation
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
Variation: You can substitute other fruits for the strawberries and blueberries, but beware: they don’t all have the same carbohydrate content. To maintain a similar carbohydrate content, we suggest the following substitutions using the same volume:
- Replace strawberries with raspberries, watermelon, honeydew melon or cantaloupe.
- Replace blueberries with blackberries or peaches
